literature analysis #2
1. To start off the book im reading is distance between us by Reyna Grande. The plot about this story is about how to are going through a rough time in Mexico wile there parents are in the United States . It's three kids in this story there names are Reyna, Mago, and Carlos. They live with they're grandparents meanwhile her parents are making money back in the United States.
2.The theme about this book is to always appreciate what you have. I brought this up because in the book Mago starts to get pricey with clothes because she's going to high school. It teaches readers to appreciate what parents could give you. I learned from it because I don't ask my parents for money when they didn't have any at the time.
3.It doesn't explain about why any of there parents stayed with them. I think it's probably because they wanted to make it easier to cross the border. In my opinion that was the best choice because it made it safer to stick together. Always remember what's the best thing to do for your kids, it relates to how in my life my aunt had a similar story.
4.The thing that mostly touched me in this story was how the kids were strong even without there parents looking. Forever will be grateful for what my parents work for and give to me. This book had a little of motivation, let me take you back to the part when Reyna is at the university and her dad was mad at her because he thought she was going to drop out as well but she said no I will be someone day and she accomplished it not only is she a role model to others she's an inspiration.
